The Weekly Wrap caught up with Ashleigh and here are her answers to our light-hearted questions.

Where do we find you this weekend?

Walking around Lake Burley Griffin at sunset. Dusk is always magical.

Spring, summer, autumn or winter?

Autumn. I love watching leaves change colour then seeing the beautiful bare branches underneath.

What’s the best thing you’ve watched on TV recently?

A Korean reality show called, ‘All that Ping Pong!’. I like watching shows with subtitles as it stops me from using my phone at the same time. It’s an unusual choice for sure, but you would be surprised at how engrossing (and delightfully mind-numbing) ping pong battles can be.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?

Britney Spears or a teacher. I guess life had other plans!

What’s something you’re planning on doing in the next year that you’ve never done?

Get married! My partner and I are running off to New Zealand to elope on a mountain top after having a couple of thwarted attempts at a wedding in 2021.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.

I spent much of my childhood living on a wildlife sanctuary in north-eastern New South Wales. Very Bindi Irwin, minus the khaki cargo pants.

What’s that you’re humming down the corridor?

Jackie Wilson’s Lonely Teardrops (while clicking doo-wop style on one hand) or Daft Punk’s Around the World (while making robot gestures).

What fashion trend do you regret?

Low rise jeans. I have heard they are making a comeback and we should all be very concerned.

9What’s the best advice you’ve ever heard?

Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best.

If you didn’t have to work, what would you do with your time?

Study French, hike and travel.
