Josh Fear joined us in May as the Associate Director of NATSEM. Josh has a wealth of experience in policy development, stakeholder engagement and advocacy in social policy. His most recent appointment was as Head of Strategic Engagement and Partnerships in ANU’s College of Health and Medicine.
He was previously Director of Policy and Projects at Mental Health Australia, and was Deputy Director and Research Fellow at The Australia Institute. Here he discusses his favourite TV show, his family and his favourite vacation.

I am rarely out of bed early enough to watch Insiders. Luckily I can catch up on iView.
What’s the best thing you’ve watched on TV recently?
Devs. It’s on Barack Obama’s watchlist, if you need further endorsement.
What’s the best book you’ve read recently?
The Whereabouts of Eneas McNulty by Sebastian Barry.
And what’s your movie genre of choice?
I’m split between alien first contact films and anything set in a submarine.

Laphroaig.
