National Tax Clinic Program

A Joint CLS and CBS initiative spearheaded by Tax Law Academic Carole Grey and Simon Hoy, Associate Dean (Partnerships & Engagement), has successfully secured funding of $300,000 over three years under the National Tax Clinic Program.

The National Tax Clinic program is a government-funded initiative to help people who may not be able to afford professional advice and representation with their tax affairs. Students studying tax-related courses will provide free tax advice and support under the supervision of qualified clinic managers. Sessions will be offered via phone or web conferencing, as well as face-to-face in Canberra/Queanbeyan and the surrounding regions via an outreach program. The tax services provided would cover a wide range of both simple and complex tax matters.
