Climate change and sustainability – can effective responses to climate change actually benefit business, communities and the environment now and for future generations? With COP 26 in Glasgow drawing national attention, the issue of climate change has been brought into sharp focus. While governments appear to dither, peak industry and farming groups, many large businesses and an increasing proportion of the population now favour action. Our major trading partners and advanced nations around the world are moving forward, and increasingly criticising us for not joining them. At an enterprise and community level, what does this mean? Are there benefits and opportunities for jobs, prosperity and improved social outcomes from effective climate action?

Negotiation and Persuasion: Essential skills for every day and every relationship, not simply a tool for the workplace. Most people are excellent at utilising their 'people skills' in the workplace, but often forget to employ them in everyday life. We can all benefit from applying our strategic communication tools in non-business situations, particularly when it comes to family. True negotiation skills such as making sure the other party feels heard, understanding what motivates them, and convincingly persuading others to view situations through a different lens, can help us design solutions which benefit everyone involved.
